Zaida del Rio (b. 1954, Guadalupe, Las Villas, Cuba) is regarded as one of the most respected living women artists in Cuba today. Drawing from a deep spiritual bond with Mother Nature, her works present an imaginary realm where plants, trees, and organic forms merge seamlessly with feminine human figures.
