About the Artist
José Ramón Alejandro is a Cuban painter and writer whose career spans decades. Since the late 1960s, his works have been exhibited in private galleries in Paris, Geneva, Miami, and across Europe, as well as in Israel. Alejandro’s works are included in the permanent collections of the Bibliothèque Nationale de France, Bibliothèque Municipale d’Angers, the San Diego Art Museum, and the Miami-Dade Public Library.
Alejandro left Havana in the 1960s to live in Buenos Aires, Montevideo, and Paris, staying in Europe for thirty years before moving to Miami in 1995. There he founded Editions Deleatur, a publishing house for Cuban writers. His life and works are the subject of the essay collection Ramón Alejandro (L’Atelier des Brisants, 2006). The surreal, tropical style in Ramon Alejandro Original Artwork reflects decades of international experience and cultural exploration.
