Born and raised in Los Angeles. Attended Art Center College of Design. Has had exhibits in L.A., Arizona, Miami and New York. Lives and works in Sherman Oaks, Ca..

Artists’ comments:I rather obsessively paint the inner and fetishized journeys of manhood, mostly folly, attempting to gain understanding and positioning as a man in relation to his woman, children, and place in society insistent on the feminization of men. ..It is a mostly base occupation.

Process:Birch Panels are cut and sanded then water soaked and left to dry. Sanded again. Generally an acrylic wash is used to stain the wood. Prisma color pencils, graphite and acrylic paint are used and a final layer of varathane semi-gloss varnish is applied. The varnish acts not only as a protective element but is essential to bring out the grain of the wood and also to intensify the color of the pigment and to increase transparency. Rarely is there a plan for the piece, all images are linked intuitively, one to the other. I use no reference materials.
